Newport Beach Temple & Crystal Cove; Day 3

Newport Beach Temple & Crystal Cove State Park

After attending church at Laguna Beach, we headed to the Newport Beach Temple. We were hoping to spend most of our Sunday exploring the temple grounds, but to our disappointment--all of the gates were locked. Instead, we took a few photos and had a family discussion on the importance of the temple.

CRYSTAL COVE STATE PARK:
The Crystal Cove State Park was breathtakingly beautiful. There were beautiful stretches of beaches, and majestic rock formations.

Jake was extremely afraid of the ocean. Bryan and I took turns walking with him through the waves. He would never venture on his own, but eventually his fears began to subside.

The kids spent hours collecting shells. Each time Amber or Jacob would find a new shell, they would coming running and triumphantly show me their find. There were signs saying that all seashells needed to remain on the beach; however, I didn't think it would hurt to allow them to gather them into one area though...
