He Is The Gift

SHARE THE GIFT

This year during Christmas the church published a video focusing on Christ being the gift of Christmas, and then asking us as church members to share the gift. How each of us chose to "Share the Gift" was personal, but we each chose something we could do throughout the Christmas Season to be more Christlike.
This video was inspired. There is a gentle reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. I think it is easy to get wrapped up in the commercialism of the season--it's always good to have reminders as to what truly is important.
I love my Savior with all of my heart. I am so grateful for the sacrifice He made so that I could live with my Father in Heaven, and so that I could have an eternal family. I am so grateful that through Christ I can become clean. Words cannot express my gratitude for my Savior, words cannot express the love I feel for Him and for His sacrifice, words cannot express the true meaning of the Christmas Season. I am so grateful.
I love how Elder Russel M. Nelson said, "Christmas is a time of reflection on what we can become because of God’s sacred gift. As we discover the gift, we learn of the immeasurable love of God and our absolute need for a Savior. As we embrace the gift, we strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to become more like Him. As we share the gift, we follow in the Master’s footsteps, who invited all to hear His message.”

Bryan had a unique opportunity to share his gift at our Nephew's baptism. There was a time set aside for the bearing of testimonies, and rather than the moment being a time of reflection--it seemed to become a time for conversation...until Bryan stood to bear his testimony. He later said that he felt that he needed to do as he proclaimed he would--share his testimony. After Bryan's testimony, there was  a true spirit in the room, and others followed Bryan's example. I am grateful for Bryan and his willingness to SHARE THE GIFT.
