Halloween

Halloween

We had an awesome Halloween. We started out our night by going to the school trunk-or-treat where both Amber and Jacob scored lots of candy. We then headed over to the Steffanic's home. The Steffanic's are an older couple in our ward who absolutely love Holidays. The have invited us for a few years to come join in their festivities, and we have loved it! Once we arrived home again, we had our traditional "Witch's Dinner" equipped with scary foods, and witch's hats. Finally, Amber and Jacob went trick-or-treating with Daddy while Hailey and I hosted a Halloween Tween Party. This was a big year for Hailey--it was the first year of no trick-or-treating. We allowed her to hit a few homes around our neighborhood as the other two started on their trick-or-treating adventure, simply to be a part of the trick-or-treating family tradition; however, once we hit the "selected" homes, we were on to new traditions.

Hailey's drawing was voted best drawing.

After eating, and eating, eating some more...and then playing lots of games, the girls watched Harry Potter as a nice relaxing cap to the evening. What a fun party! I think we will have to make this a new tradition while Amber and Jacob trick-or-treat--we will play.
