Championship Game

Championship Game

Hailey's high school soccer team made it to the championship district game. The girls had played an undefeated season leading up to this game, and mentally--they felt the game belonged to them. Sadly, the other time came out with a bit more passion, and out team lost. Although the girls were extremely disappointed, there is a lot to be said for persevering, and playing hard at a game that you love! They can definitely be proud of a season well played.

Baseball

Jake Tries Baseball

Jake started out his baseball season never having played before; however, due to an amazing coach, and a lot of heart from Jake--Jake ended the season as a baseball player. I loved watching him grow and develop. His coach expected him to work hard, and Jake delivered. With each practice, small improvements were accomplished. In the beginning, I wondered whether or not baseball was a good idea; however, by the end, I was wishing we could start another season right away.

A Coach Can Impact a Child For Good or Bad. This Coach was the Best of the Best! I Wish Jake Could Play for Him In Every Sport.

Hikes, Boat Races, Bishop's Night, & Faith Walk

The hike was amazing this year. It was so hard, but so rewarding. The mountain seemed to stretch out in front of us forever.. We hiked 7 miles that day. The lakes were absolutely gorgeous. Each new bend brought a breathtaking vista. The best part; however, was the effort it took to hike the mountain—we felt we had accomplished a monumental task! The sense of accomplishment was amazing, and it strengthened our resolve to believe in their ability to do hard things.
