Boise Temple
The Boise Temple has been closed for over a year, and its reopening is causing great excitement among the Latter-day Saints. Traveling to Twin Falls to attend the temple has provided our hearts with a strengthened testimony of the blessings of the temple. With that being said, we can hardly wait for the reopening.
I was able to take Jake and Amber, at separate times, to the temple open house. Both of them felt the spirit in the temple. While I was in the temple with Jake, he said, "I feel my soul", and then all he wanted was for me to hold him--he felt surrounded by love. I loved how he tried to explain the feelings he was having while walking through the Lord's house. When I asked Amber her favorite part of the temple, she couldn't list one thing. In fact, she listed every room, because she felt the spirit in every room. I am grateful for the blessings of the temple. I am grateful that because of the temple, I can be sealed with my family for time and all eternity. The greatest decision I ever made was being married to my best friend in the House of the Lord!
...when I had originally written this post, I was still planning my adventure with Hailey. Here is a picture of Hailey's one on one date to the temple as well:
Bryan and I have been asked to work as tour guides for the newly remodeled Boise Temple. The open house has been scheduled from October 13-November 10. We were told when we were asked that we would need to attend two required meetings--one of which--we would be at a family reunion. We were also told that we would need to conform our schedule to whatever dates we were given to serve as tour guides. When we were given our assigned tour guide dates, we found that we were assigned to serve as tour guides during our family vacation to Disneyland. My heart was saddened by this realization. Two conflicts--the likelihood of being able to serve wasn't looking good. I immediately began seeking ways in which we could resolve our "date conflicts", and was told that it was unlikely, but they would consider it, so I did the only thing I could do--I waited patiently and prayed.
The miracle: both dates that conflicted with our schedule were changed due to Stake Conference, and the RS General Meeting. I truly feel that my prayers were answered. I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to serve.
