Day 8

Good-bye Disneyland Hello Safari Park Zoo
We left Disneyland and headed to the Zoo. Last time we came to California we chose to go to the San Diego Zoo, so this time we decided we would try the Safari Park Zoo. We were not disappointed. We had  a great time!
Good-bye California Adventure Hotel
We enjoyed staying in a Disney hotel, but mostly we enjoyed the perks of a Disneyland hotel (i.e. early entrance...)

Welcome to Safari Park Zoo

Feeding the Lorikeet

In the beginning, Hailey truly enjoyed feeding the Lorikeets; however, as they got more and more in her space, her interest turned to disinterest and then to fear...

After this picture, Hailey was officially done feeding. She couldn't wait until the food was gone from her cup. She was a good sport even though the birds made her nervous. (She was afraid they were going to bite her ears.)

Goats at the SAFARI PARK...WHO KNEW?

Goats at the SAFARI Park

The SAFARI
This portion of the park was widespread. We spent quite a bit of our time riding a tram, and viewing the animals from our tram windows; however, there were portions of the Safari that we chose to walk. Our favorite sight was the new baby Elephant.

Two Baby Elephants & A Smaller Elephant as well!

More Rhino's

We had to take a picture of the beautiful rainbow. It was breathtaking!

CHEETAH RUN

Jacob kept begging Bryan for a shoulder ride. Bryan and I laughed every time, because the last time we went on a trip to California, Amber did this same thing! Not only did Jacob ask to ride on Bryan's shoulders, but the way he asked was exactly the same way Amber asked three years previously. Both of them would stop in front of their dad, and beg for a ride. He couldn't walk around either of them, because they would move wherever he moved. This picture was taken while we were waiting for the CHEETAH RUN!

The Cheetah was so fast! It was the coolest thing ever! It was over in seconds, and I kept wishing for a replay. I didn't even get a picture because it was so fast!
